2009 Rules Released
The rules comittee has released the rules for 2009. Most of the rules changes are minor and deal with things like seatbelts, cost reports, and impact safety. Over the years, the cockpits in many FSAE cars have become very small, making the cars hard to egress from in the case of an emergency such as an engine fire. To remedy this, the 2009 rules have requirements for the minimum amount of driver leg and torso room. As the car stands right now, it will have to be modified. No worries, we already have a plan! We had hints that this rule would happen as early as last september but waited for final confirmation before modifying anything. Additionally we must now test our impact attenuators by actually crashing them which sounds fun.

Frame is done!
Well the break is over and the chassis is complete. This year's frame is radically different with a shorter wheelbase, and an emphasis on saving weight as well as a new suspension setup. This year's car (112) is well on it's way to being another success for Sopo Moto. Pictures to come.
